Fermilab LHC Project Manager: Jim Kerby

The Fermilab portion of the US-LHC Accelerator Project involves the design and production of 1/2 of the MQX Inner Triplet Quadrupole Cold Masses necessary for the LHC. In addition, Fermilab is responsible for the design and the final assembly of all the MQX Magnets, from both KEK and Fermilab, associated correctors, absorbers, and instrumentation into cryostats for installation at CERN.

The Fermilab task includes Accelerator Physics calculations which support the design of the inner triplet and provide input to the final specifications for these magnets, as well as system integration effort such that all MQX magnets, and other components in the inner triplet region are successfully specified, assembled, and installed at CERN.
